Thinking of building a rental property? Have you considered Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)?

Sam Martel Monday, 06 May 2019

SDA refers to accommodation for people with a disability who require specialist housing. The potential returns on specialist housing can be significantly higher than your average home. There is currently a shortage of specialist homes in rural regions and the NDIS are encouraging investors to get involved.

A high physical support apartment with one bedroom can rent for approximately $87,000 annually, compared to $10,400 for a standard unit*.

There are multiple building designs which cater to varying levels of support. Each design category holds its own set of standards that need to be met.

If you wish to discuss or would like to become involved, contact our office and we would be more than happy to assist. We are not promoting or an agent for this program, we just thought this sounded interesting.
